A list of the repairs that Michaela undertakes is given below together with Setup details. It is vitally important to ensure that an instrument is setup to suit the player, a violin just cannot be bought, and the player expect to get the best from the instrument unless great care has been taken in "setting it up"  For an in depth description of what is involved, for example, please refer to the following website: Gianna Violins

Repairs to Violins, Violas and Cellos

The repairs that can be made to instruments include:

• mending of cracks
• soundpost patch
• retouching of damaged varnish
• replacement of corners and edges
• replacement of fingerboard's peg hole bushings in order to fit: new or existing pegs
•  neckgraft new button, ebony crown neck, resetting arching
• correcting increase of neck elevation
• treatment of worm damage

Setup

Setups include:

• fit new bridge (different grades available) or adjustment of existing bridge
• fit new soundpost
• resurface fingerboard
• refit pegs or fit new set of pegs
